Random Search: pat down exhibitionism
Giant gold ceramic Michael Jackson with Bubbles and cows sawed in half suspended in fish tanks of formaldehyde. Art,
we get it. Now Ayah Bdeir (research assistant, MIT Media Lab) presents her project " search" — a thin undergarment covered in pressure sensors which trigger LEDs showing touch-points. So the idea is for the wearer to
"share the invasive experience...of physical and moral aggression" when being patted down in airports, sport stadiums,
and concerts. Uh, those LEDs, wires, etc. are going to 'cause just a bit of a stir with security dontcha think,
substantially increasing the likelihood of an unpleasant cavity search (note glove in picture) — but hey, maybe that's your thing Ayah, we don't judge.
