WiFi claims: untrue at any speed?

In light of recent consumer victories against companies as disparate as Apple (the iPod
battery settlement) and Gillette (the M3Power razor),
ZDNet's George Ou asks why nobody's suing the WiFi industry over the speeds claimed for their products. One reason?
Everyone's doing it: "Unfortunately, the practice of grossly inflating wireless LAN performance numbers is so wide spread that almost every single vendor does it or face total annihilation from their competition," Ou says. Guess we need a Nader-like crusader to come out and face off against the industry. Any takers?
