Cosmic Blobs graphics software for kids

As a parent I'm always looking for great software for the little ones. Today I was introduced to Cosmic Blobs, a 3D modeling and animation tool created just for kids, and it really looks great. You can create just about any creature you can think of in a 3D modeling environment with easy to understand painting tools, then decorate it, animate it and even make a movie file for sharing with your pals. Cool! I downloaded and played with the demo for a while and I can see how younger kids would really find this app fun to use.

The company also offers expansion packs, a library of premade models that kids can edit and even a Dashboard widget that offers models and tutorials. If you've got a budding animator in your house (or a budding computer geek), let them play with Cosmic Blobs for a while.
