Palm's new self-branded GPS

Palm, formerly PalmOne, is set to launch their first Palm-branded GPS solution, which'll include a Tungsten E2 handheld, software and maps from ViaMichelin, and a GPS
receiver built into the car recharging cradle. Palm had previously marketed GPS packages before, but they used receivers from other manufacturers. Apparently called the Tungsten E2 Navigation Companion, the system is based on the SiRF SiRFstar III GPS chipset and includes an SD memory card, although it doesn't use the Tungsten's Bluetooth capability. No word on price or availablity just yet, but the news should come soon enough.
