ATI disses PS3 technology, no surprise

In a recent interview, ATI Developer Relations Manager Richard Huddy had a few things to say about next-gen performance. See, it's not just Xbox 360 vs.
PS3, it's also ATI vs. Nvidia. As such, you may want to take what either side has to say with a grain of salt, but according to Huddy the big issue is the 360's "unified pipeline". With this technology, Hubby believes that ATI has bested Nvidia on the next-gen gaming console front and that because Nvidia chose to use segregated (non-unified) pixel and vertex engines, "[the] PS3 will almost certainly be slower and less powerful [than the Xbox 360]."
