RFID Health Control: all your calories are belong to us

Ahhh yes, yet another RFID-enabled innovation from our Japanese corporate overlords. Now that they've
optimized your productivity, they're setting out to optimize your health — Tanita and Sony Communication Network are using FeliCa RFID cards to track worker eating habits at the corporate cafeteria. The cards record calories and nutritional information, which gets integrated with data captured by all the other medical devices workers seem to already be wearing, such as blood pressure sensors and body fat sensors. Dieticians and physicians aggregate the data and use it to "suggest" how workers should change their living habits for better health. It's a rosy future, friends, when the managerial elite can remove the burden of taking an active role in one's self-knowledge.
