PC World rounds up GPS phone options
PC World has a round-up of various GPS options for cellphones and handhelds including America Online's MapQuest Find Me, Gate5's Smart2go Mobile Navigator, and TeleNav for RIM's new BlackBerry 7520. According to them, TeleNav was the fastest at loading maps and directions, with Smart2go and MapQuest Find Me sometimes slow in loading information. They also found that Smart2go's driving directions and maps were sometimes off by a few streets (oops). And, no surprise here, but PC World also says that the mapping info on all these devices are pretty spartan when compared to dedicated in-car systems — but just try shoving one of those in your pocket.
