Freedom Driver is the latest to turn tables into speakers
We're seeing more
resonance devices — which turn any flat, smooth surface into a speaker — hit the market, though how many of them we're likely to hear (or want to hear) is an open question.
One of the latest is the Freedom Driver, out of OEM outfit Gansu Tianxing Rare Earth Functional Materials Co. The company claims that when the small USB unit is placed on a table "a clear and sweat sound or music will be heard from all the directions aroud the table." If Gansu gets a distributor for it, we're sure it'll have a different name (and a different marketing pitch — though we are curious about what sweat actually sounds like), but we'll be sure to check it out and find out what kind of audio it actually outputs.
