We're crazy disappointed that they didn't go drrrty and decide to call the new combined company "Sextel", but Sprint and Nextel announced their new brand strategy and logo today (we can't be the only ones who think that the new logo is dull as dirt). The merged entity will be called "Sprint Nextel Corporation", and while they're going to keep the name "Nextel" as a product brand, the so-called "master brand" will be just "Sprint".

[Thanks, Shane]
