BDi HandsOn Passport hopes to prevent luggage tampering

As if traveller angst wasn't already ginormous, now we must fear becoming a drug-mule patsy following recent Indonesian high-court dramas. BDi hopes to profit from consumer fear chill traveller anxiety via their HandsOn Luggage Passport project. Their system would store photographic evidence of luggage content as well as the checked-in weight in written or printed form and in machine readable barcodes, an RFID loop, or "Smart chip" embedded in the HandsOn Passport. This information could then be compared to the contents and weight at destination — any change would then suggest tampering while in transit and save you a very, very lengthy stint in the hoosegow.
