Denon @ Digital Experience - go DAP… way DAP
So at Digital Experience last night Denon was showing off two unnamed unofficial multimedia systems due out sometime, um, eventually, but the key feature was some serious DAP integration! Both the $1,000 and $1,600 rigs come with an integrated iPod port for jacking your litttle friend right in, as well as some nice speakers and a sub—but it's the $1,600 unit that's really impressive. In addition to supporting SACD, DVD-Audio, DVD upscaling to 1080i, and HDMI
out, it's got a USB port with integrated support for most any MP3 player on the market—including non mass-storage compliant devices, such as the Rio Karma, which we saw playing digitally over USB on the thing. Ah, lovely. But does this mean we'll have to download firmware updates for our home stereos now?
