Samsung places last in Korean phone quality survey
We're not sure if this has any ramifications beyond Korea, but we can't imagine Samsung is too happy about the fact that a recent survey has ranked the company's cellphone network quality dead last in its home market. According to the survey, by Seoul-based researcher Marketing Insight, Samsung came out as the "most frustrating" brand, with 739 problems per 100 cellphones sold (we assume network providers have something to do with the problems, and that Marketing Insight factored that into their results). The leader, with 603 problems per 100 phones, turned out to be Motorola, which should give those yanks who are worried about America's global competitiveness something to cheer about. Samsung also ranked last in a recent Marketing Insight survey about cameraphone customer satisfaction. Hey, if they're not happy with Samsung's
7-megapixel cameraphones in Korea, we'd be happy to take some of them over here.
