Mitsubishi ships WD-52627 52-inch 1080p DLP HDTV

Mitsubishi Digital Electronics has begun shipping its first 1080p DLP TV, the 52-inch 52-inch WD-52627. Initially available only in southern California (looks like those Hollywood types have at least some clout), the $3,699 model will roll out nationally within the next few weeks. That price is about 35%
higher than most current 52-inchers, but most of those are 720p models. We're mighty tempted by this one, but we think we'll wait until the fall, when Mitsubishi is expected to ship three 73-inch 1080p models.
