TUAW poll results: Will you purchase a dual-core PPC Mac?

On Friday we asked if you'd purchase a Mac with the new dual-core PPC chip that IBM announced on Thursday. 1,096 of you responded, and here's what you had to say.

"I'd consider it" was the  obvious winner, having been selected by 41% of responses. The three remaining categories were nearly dead even: "Definitely" and "Only if my Mac Died" both received 20% of your vote, and "Not a Chance" came in with 19%.

I'd have to say if I was looking for a new Mac, I'd certainly consider it as well. Sure, I wouldn't have an Intel Mac, but I'd still have a very nice machine that would meet my needs for years to come. The nature of tech is that it's constantly changing, so that if you choose to always "wait for the latest and greatest," you'll be forever waiting!
