PanAmSat claims satellite-delivered WiMax

Maybe they missed the memo about how TU Media already launched satellite TV service for cellphones back in May, but PanAmSat announced at the WiMax Forum Plenary yesterday that they're going to use WiMax to deliver what they claim will be the first live video transmission to a handheld device. It's not exactly clear how a satellite can deliver WiMax (either we're missing something — which is entirely possible — or perhaps they're just talking about using satellite as the backhaul), but sometimes it's best not to ask too many questions; you know how they can ruin a press op.
