The Rollei dp8300

It ain't much to look at, but Rollei rolled out a new 8.1 megapixel compact digital camera today, the dp8300. The budget price (€349) probably explains why this thing only has a 3x optical zoom lens, but they did manage to squeeze both a 2.5-inch LCD screen and an optical viewfinder in there. Too bad eight megapixels is overkill in a compact camera; cramming that many pixels into such a small sensor usually doesn't result in the most amazing picture quality,
especially in budget models like this one. Should go on sale by the end of the month.
