DTV tuner built in to portable DVD player
If you're in the United States and reading this, don't get too excited. This new product from Artec currently supports the European DVB-T standard, not the ATSC standard we "yanks" use. However, the the idea of a digital tuner in a portable player shows promise as a multi-function device.
The Artec T2 looks like any standard 7-inch portable DVD player, but inside is a set of tuners to expand your digital experience. The T2 is capable of receiving both digital and analog TV, FM radio and cable TV programming. With the built-in tuners, you can connect the T2 to your digital television and recieve OTA digital programming as well. Hey folks, how about an ATSC version for us "across the pond?"
