Sprint wants your office to share with PCS Data Link for Wireless WAN
Kind of a little counterintuitive to Verizon's efforts to rebuke the Junxion box way of looking at wireless broadband, but Sprint's announced a new program aimed at business users called PCS Data Link for Wireless WAN. Basically they're just selling their 1xRTT (and eventually EV-DO) data service under a new name (and for a lot more money), but instead of individual laptop use it's aimed as backup or primary Internet access for businesses and/or their mobile offices. We definitely do like the idea of cellular companies muscling in on local CLECs and their way overpriced T1 biz, but you know we're not about to take one of these—EV-DO or not—and run the office on it as anything but a just-in-case.
