DXG intros two low-end 5.1 megapixel digicams

Looks like NHJ,
Aiptek and
Mustek are getting some more company at the extreme low-end of the digicam market. DXG, better known (or unknown, to consumers) for its OEM business, has begun pushing more cameras under its own name, and is hitting the U.S. market with two 5.1 megapixel models. The DXG-568 is a $129.99 compact with 32MB of onboard memory, VGA movie mode, an SD slot, a 1.5 inch LCD and USB 2.0. The DXG-552 is a $139.99 slim model with the same features, plus a 2 inch LCD. Why so cheap? Well, one notable omission on both models is an optical zoom;
these models just offer 4x digital zoom. We're sure they've skimped in other places as well, but, hey you get what you pay for.
