Matrox graphics card outputs to two HDTV monitors
The new Matrox Parhelia APVe graphics card is really geared towards the professional video-editing crowd, but we're curious if you could build a Media Center PC around it. The APVe supports two separate DVI outputs, allowing you to span your work across two high resolution monitors. The dual-DVI output handles resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 for each display.
We're thinking with a dual-tuner set-top rig, maybe we could put the Picture In Picture (PIP) function aside in favor of a Picture Next To Picture feature. Sure, PNTP doesn't sound as good as PIP, but think about two different HDTV programs side-by-side. NFL football on one side and NASCAR on the other, anyone? I know there's someone out there with the time to make this happen. Drop us a note when you do, would ya?
