Royal EZVue 5 reviewed

If you're looking for a budget — and we really mean budget — PDA, About.com thinks you might want to have a gander at the Royal EZVue 5. They had some pretty high praise for a unit that comes in at an MSRP of only $34.95, which is closer to what you'd expect to pay to replace a lost stylus than what you'd routinely pay for a personal digital assistant. The design niceties include a slide down 49 key QWERTY thumb board, touch screen, and side mounted scrolling buttons all in a rather compact and comfortable frame. It's only got 3MB of internal memory which wouldn't even hold the average MP3 file, but if you can channel Cher and turn back time to the days of techno-naivety when we didn't even know anything besides text existed, you'll probably end up doing alright for storing calendars, to-do lists, and the like. Mostly they praise the included software suite, which is fairly extensive for the pricepoint, and allows you to sync to your desktop via the included USB cable. Yeah,
LifeDrive or
Axim it is not, but this little guy could potentially help a cheapskate out, aight.
