Free HD Shuttle launch video downloads
As we previously reported, HDNet provided unprecedented HDTV coverage of the Space Shuttle Discovery's return to flight. I was unable to watch the coverage, but based on comments and feedback, the programming sounded fantastic! Looks like I can catch some of the coverage after all, and instead of keeping the good news to myself, I decided to share!
In conjunction with Red Swoosh and Box.net, HDNet has made a twenty-minute highlight video available for free download. The 1080i high-definition resolution video is available in Windows Media Video HD format via Red Swoosh's P2P content delivery system. [Note: it appears that the service only works with Internet Explorer at the moment.]
To download the video, visit the HDNet site and subscribe to HDNet's BetaFeed powered by Box.net. If you have a MyYahoo! or MyMSN home page, you can also see the latest HDNet clips there one you are subscribed. Other RSS-based aggregators are also supported for future videos.
