Mitac Mio 269 reviewed

The ominously named Dark Vision Hardware has a review of
Mitac's Mio 269 mobile navigation system, which was released earlier this year. The 269 is a somewhat beefed up version of the cheaper
Mio 268, with over 8 million miles of road maps from Tele Atlas stored on a 500MB internal hard drive. They give the unit pretty high marks on most of the important issues but list a long string of minor complaints. List price is a fairly hefty £370 (or about $670US). The lower-end 268, on the other hand,  will only set you back £234 (or $415US), but as far as well can tell only the Mio 269 is available in the US.
