Enough free dos games to keep you warm until Christmas 2010

As you know, we here at Joystiq love free games – we love anything that takes up a large amounts of time for little-to-no monetary cost.  DosGames.com is an ever-expanding library of free downloadable freeware and shareware games.  Right now they have over 400 files to download including Lemmings, Descent, and four different Commander Keen games.  I'm afraid to download the Commander Keen games, because I simply have such a fond memory of them as a child that I don't want them to be ruined by a possible reality check (that happened to me with Mortal Kombat: Sub Zero.  I thought the game was great until I played it years later – that was a disappointment).

These are all free and can run on any
computer (one of the perks of many old games is the ability to finda pretty well-done emulator – just look at the Super Nintendo), so if you are looking for something to waste all of your time from now through the decade, have a look.
