Casio Exilim EX-Z57 reviewed
At 2.7 inches, the LCD display on Casio's compact Exilim
EX-Z57 is one of the largest you'll find on any
small digicam. Unfortunately, according to DigitalCameraInfo.com, that display is pretty much the only big thing
about this camera. The site reviewed the EX-Z57, and found that, although the 5 megapixel camera has a good menu
system, good battery life and that large display, the camera fell short where it really counts, including image
quality. According to the review, "image quality and performance feel like afterthoughts on the EX-Z57 ... the
camera performed slowly (except for its minimal shutter lag time) and colors were imbalanced and lacked vibrancy."
Oh, and that big LCD? The review also knocked it for poor sharpness and color quality. Given how crowded the
market for small 5 megapixel cameras has become, DigitalCameraInfo.com suggests looking elsewhere, and we may just
be inclined to agree.
