Nintendo launches website for Mario's 20th birthday

As you probably do not know, Mario is celebrating his 20th birthday on September 13th. In preparation for this monumental occasion, Nintendo of Japan has launched a web site in honor of their flagship plumber. The site does not feature much yet, content-wise, but you can watch two videos of, well, someone's controller as they play (and quickly die in) World 1-1 and 1-2 of the original NES Super Mario Bros.  There are ten more spots on that page with a
"Coming Soon" as well as an overhead tab with the signature "????," so do expect more to come soon.

What are your fondest Mario memories?  Favorite/most reviled Mario game?  I'm thinking my favorite would be Mario is Missing (because of the love for Luigi) or Super Mario RPG, and my least favorite would be Hotel Mario for the Phillips CD-I.
