Canon's new PowerShot S80

It may not have the killer good looks we're normally used to seeing in flagship consumer products, but Canon's new PowerShot S80 is definitely their highest-end consumer offering to date. The 3.6x wide-angle zoom lens device ups the ante from its predecessor the S70 by sporting an 8 megapixel CCD, 2.5-inch LCD, XGA (1024 x 768) movie mode, and DIGIC II image processor. It should be ready to go for October, and carry a price tag of $550 US.
