For $170, you can add the pcHDTV-3000 to your favorite Penguin-box and receive HDTV over-the-air at no extra charge.
The pcHDTV-3000 is a based on PCI architecture and supports both NTSC and ATSC signals. MPEG-2 encoding is handled by software on your Linux box, which also can be used a digital video recorder using a number of different applications. S-Video and composite outputs allow you to hook up to an HD monitor. If you plan to go this route, don't skimp on the system memory and storage; more is better, you know what I'm sayin'?
