Hide your PDP for only 3-grand
You knew it would happen, didn't you? I'm talking about home entertainment furniture costing more than the home entertainment components. With the HDTV prices dropping as the screen sizes get bigger, you can't prop your set up on milk crates anymore. Ok, maybe in a dorm room, but that's about it.
Ethan Allen furniture has created an entertainment cabinet selling for a cool $3,000 later this year. The cabinet will feature a lift to place your thin flat-panel set on, as well as a remote control that moves the lift up and down to hide or view your set. No pics or additional availability yet, but we figure it will look similar to the current offering shown above.
We say: buy one of Ethan Allen's $800 units and drop the extra $2,200 savings into upsizing your set. When you spend all of that moolah on the set, you don't really want to hide it, do you? Yeah, we thought not.
