HTC Tornado scores FCC approval
FCC approval doesn't guarantee a US release (a reality we've had to confront time and time again), but the HTC
Tornado, aka the Qtek 8310, just got the thumbs up from the federales, which means that now it's at least legally possible for the phone to be sold here. Haven't heard anything concrete about which carrier, if any, might be picking this one up, but if you need a refresher the Tornado's that new Smartphone that runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 and has a 2.2-inch QVGA display, 200MHz OMAP processor, 64MB of RAM, 64MB of ROM, a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 1.2, a miniSD memory card slot, and an optional WiFi module (or something along those lines, at least one version of the phone has WiFi).
