Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) starts today in Bellevue, WA

Need somewhere to go this weekend? Would you like to hang out and play with thousands of like-minded gamers in a purely communited-focused event? And, uh, do you live in the Pacific Northwest? If all these conditions apply, then make haste to the Penny Arcade Expo (ambitiously abbreviated PAX), where you can indulge yourself in many gaming delights best shared with hundreds upon hundreds of fellow hardcore enthusiasts.

If you aren't familiar with Penny Arcade already, it's one of the best known and most popular game-related webcomics out there, supporting the income of its two game-playing creators with web ads and merchandise alone. PAX is their way of playing games on an even grander scale, er... it's their way of paying their fans back. So if you want some serious tournament and freeplay time on PCs, consoles, or even the vaunted tabletop, get thee to Bellevue, Washington, posthaste. If a fan-run convention can draw industry panels and exhibits from the likes of Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, and many more, then you know that they're serious. Hey, they arranged two nights of "gamer music" to be performed, and they even bought
that crazy NES collection offered a while back just to give away as part of the outrageous Omegathon contest they've worked up. Read all about it below, and hope that someday you'll get to be a part of this new world order.
