Yet another wristband medical monitor

Another day, another
wristband monitor for patients. This one, from Israel's Tadiran Spectralink, monitors a patient's vitals and transmits the data to a central computer via GPRS. The unit, to be marketed under the name MDKeeper, also allows wearers to initiate a text message to an emergency response center, a function that's become common on other
monitoring units targeted at the "I've fallen and I can't get up" set.
