Turtle Beach X51 Surround Sound phones won't blow you away

headphones for computers typically appeal to either gamers or audiophiles (unless you really like to feel like you're being interrogated by the other parties on your conference calls). Looks like the $50 Turtle Beach Ear Force X51 phones don't quite satisfy either market. According to PC Magazine's review, the surround part works, but the range doesn't cut it.
For gamers, the review cites "disappointing explosions," and who wants that?
