Nintendo Revolution controller rumor wrap-up
There's a good possibility that on September 16th, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata will reveal the Nintendo Revolution's controller at the Tokyo Game Show; ending just over three months of extremely heated speculation about the controller's most revolutionary feature. Joystiq editor Vlad Cole will be there for the announcement, so make sure to tune into Joystiq on September 16th.
Since the press conference where the Revolution was announced in E3 last May, there have been possibly hundreds of fan made mock-ups of the controller as well as several cryptic reports from people that have seen the controller. So far the features that have been suggested include:
-Hot and cold feedback regions
-Rechargeable via GameCube controller port
-Ability to control two decades of Nintendo games
-Appealing, simple to learn button layout
-Every single human interface feature ever conceived by man
And then there are the fakes, concepts and spoofs of the controller:
-The "mash it all together and hope people are fooled"
controller
And here's the article that kicked off a lot of the speculation on the Revolution controller. Whatever the Revolution controller turns out like it'll provoke very strong feelings in those that speculated. But it's also quite possible that Nintendo will announce another more
revolutionary feature which they've been able to keep to themselves. On the other hand it's hard to imagine that there's anything the Nintendo fanbase has missed whilst dreaming about possible designs and features.
