Samsung YH-820 5GB Jukebox reviewed
Tweaknews just took the Samsung YH-820 5GB Jukebox for a test drive, and they seem pretty impressed with its feature package and ease-of-use. Especially noteworthy are the diminutive size (smaller than an iPod mini) and color screen (which we can apparently expect
any day now from Apple,
or, um, not). The device is no beauty queen, but for under $200 you get a photo viewer, voice recorder and a mass-storage compliant USB 2.0 hookup. The downsides? Samsung made the unfortunate decision to only include Napster software for music management (meaning you'll probably want to download new firmware and software right off the bat), the boot time is rather slow (20 seconds is a lifetime these days) and no automatic charging shutoff (i.e. forget to unplug, and you'll have a real disco inferno on your hands).
