A true sequel to Seaman (2!) will be swimming to the PS2

Yoot Saito, of Japanese developer Vivarium, has announced a true sequel to the quirky (um, creepy?) man-fish simulator. You see, the developers of the original Seaman knew they had something... er, interesting... on their hands back when they released their game five years ago for the Dreamcast. And with all the innovative ways Nintendo is using
voice recognition
in its
latest
games (and
consoles?), it shouldn't come as a surprise that Seaman has returned to cast his irksome shadow in our virtual seas.

Unlike Odama (an odd pinball-war hybrid)—Saito's other odd game in progress—Seaman 2 should find its way to the PS2 at an unspecified date in the future. Not only that, Vivarium is rewarding those who purchase its special PS2-USB Seaman microphone-controller (or those who already own one from the Japan-only PS2 port of the original) with a free Windows app to use the peripheral with their PCs, facilitating
