XHD - 2X resolution from Toshiba

I love marketing lingo and so does Toshiba. That's why they're calling their new 1080p DLP models XHD because they have twice the resolution of 720p. Whatever they want to call it, I'm sure it will look great. They're putting a new Talen X light engine in the sets, along with their Xtreme BLAC to increase the black levels. Plus, to increase the black levels and points in marketing, they also include DEEP Picture to "create sharper more vibrant images."

Toshiba has loaded these TVs with tons of cool, little features. They include ports for networking to stream JPEGs and MP3s from a PC to the TV. They also improve upon the decades old "previous channel" by allowing the user to back more than just one channel. Think of it like a "back" button on your web browsers.

I couldn't find any pictures of the sets, but according to the press release, all the 1080p sets will have the speakers on the bottom for a space saving design. The 720p versions are currently available and the 1080p sets are due out later this month.
