NFL in HD: what do you see?

I'm multitasking as usual: watching NFL football in HD while catching up on various websites and feeds. While I'm get a few things done, I've tuned in to CBS's HD coverage of the Steelers vs. the Titans. Here are a few things I've noticeed that I'm sure I wouldn't have seen if I was watching the standard definition broadcast:

  • The individual red and white stripes of the American Flag on the backs of helmets.
  • The legible logo on the Gatorade bottles near the sidelines.
  • The on\off swich for the referee's microphone.
  • Various scratches on the player's helmets.
  • The URL to the United Way website behind the goalpost.

If you have time and you're watching an NFL game today in high-definition, drop us a comment with some detail you noticed.

Maybe we'll "live blog" some of the HDTV fall premieres to point out the HD details as well; let us know if that's something you might want to see.
