Toshiba's TS10, overdesigned, underpowered GSM clamshell

Toshiba isn't exactly the first company we think of when it comes to stylish cellphones — or even mundane ones. But the company is trying to change that in a big way with the TS10, a GSM clamshell for the European market. Clad on the outside in shiny perforated aluminum, and on the inside in black with bright orange keypad labels, the phone is definitely designed for those who favor form over function, since most of its features are pretty mundane (VGA camera,
128x160 display, no Bluetooth or media). Still, we do like the punched metal look, and we certainly wouldn't complain if Toshiba extended it to the cases of products that actually do something, like the
Gigabeat or
Qosmio.
