Panasonic HD projector saves you $46,800

Panasonic has a new 3LCD projector arriving in October, the PT-AE900. The PT outputs at a resolution of 1280 x 720 and provides a good 5000:1 contrast ratio. You can project a screen size up to 14.5 feet wide, making this a great unit for a large entertainment room.

Panasonic did a smart thing and worked with some Hollywood colorists in the industry to help develop the new PT. The result is an impressive picture that ensures the color is what the director intended it to be. At a retail price of $3,199, the PT is $46,800 less than a comparable Christie digital projector. The PT was compared to the Christie and apparently was very close in terms of picture quality, so save yourself a bunch and look at the PT.
