What we're watching and why: "Birdy" is on HDNet Movies at 6:00 p.m. You can catch this 1984 flick that is based on William Wharton's novel. The movie provides a chance to see actors Matthew Modine and Nicolas Cage dealing with psychlogical issues of war and friendship.
