Ikaruga developer pledges original shooter for Xbox 360

Treasure, makers of such quintessential shooter titles Radiant Silvergun (Saturn) and Ikaruga (Dreamcast, GameCube), have announced an original shooter game for the Xbox 360.
Ikaruga, while not a huge seller for consoles, was highly regarded as an insanely hard game, and anyone who could show some skill in the game was revered for his or her awesome power.

While the announcement of an original title may upset fans hoping for an Ikaruga 2, fear not – very likely the game announced will still be an insanely difficult top-down shooter with gorgeous visuals. While it may not have the title,
it will still be a spiritual successor, much like Ikaruga was for Radiant Silvergun.
