Olympus announces Typhoon No. 14 repair program

In the Japanese tradition of shelling out in times of disaster,
Olympus has announced a new program which extends a 50% discount on repairs to users whose devices were damaged in Typhoon No. 14. Simply send in the product, a note that says "fell in the drink from Typhoon No. 14," and something that proves you live in the affected area (which would be Kyushu, Japan). Typhoon No. 14 was rated a step below the intensity of Katrina, but plenty of houses still saw minor flooding. We don't recall seeing any similar announcements from companies here in the States for Katrina, but even now it's not too late for some of them to follow Olympus's lead.
