Apple confirms some Mac minis may exceed published specs

Apple officially confirmed with eWeek today that some currently shipping Mac minis may indeed contain a 1.5GHz processor, despite their boxes listing a 1.42GHz as living inside the Macs. TUAW reader Dave got one of these "Mac surprises" on Tuesday (lucky guy).

So it looks like opening a Mac mini will be a bit like Christmas morning, at least until the remaining 1.42GHz minis are all gone. Good luck, shoppers!
