Nuritelecom's ZigBee WiFi credit card machine

MobileMag has some details on Nuritelecom's new WiFi credit card payment machine based on the still amusingly named
ZigBee wireless mesh network standard. The device is aimed at businesses like gas stations and resturants which'll now be able to let you pay from your seat instead of having to get up and go to the cash register. The unit also features an embedded electronic signature function to ensure secure payments, and customers will be able to see the entire payment process as it happens. No word yet on how much it'll cost businesses to switch over to the units or when they'll be available.
