Yo New Yorkers, your Mets are in high-def!

"Yo buddy. Yeah I'm talkin' to you. How about dem Mets, huh? I hear de're gonna be in that high-def sumthin' or other next year. You know what I'm talkin' about? Ahhhh, fuhgeddabout-it."

That's right New Yorkers, your Mets will be in high-def for every home game
for the 2006 season thanks to SportsNet New York (SNY). SNY is backed by Time Warner, Comcast and Sterling Entertainment and will produce all coverage in HD. They have a brand new studio in New York that was previously occupied by CNN.

It's great when local or regional sports coverage is carried in high-def. Here in the Philadelphia area,
we get fairly good HD coverage of football, baseball and basketball,
but I don't know if we're the exception. Does your local or regional area cover the home teams in high-definition?
