New film about life as a video game tester
Video game movies have always been less than stellar,
so why not attempt to make a movie about the people who love video games? It worked for War Games and The Last Starfighter, but this movie does not seem to aspire to the same level of greatness.
Grandma's Boy (view the IMDB entry
here) is about a 37-year old game tester who gets kicked out of his apartment after his roommate spends all their rent money on Taiwanese hookers and is forced to move in with his grandmother and her two friends – hilarity ensues.
The movie is produced by Adam Sandler's company Happy Madison productions, and humor seen in the trailer is very much consistent with most Adam Sandler comedies. And yes, all the gamers portrayed seem to embody every single nerd stereotype imaginable. Take a gander at the
trailer and let us know what you think.
