News Corp drops $25m in USDTV
We broke some news on USDTV last month but we didn't have too many details. Luckily, Rupert Murdoch did have some details, because his company just invested
over $25 million in the over-the-air service. News Corp gains a majority control in the low cost digital service which is currently piloting in three different areas in the western United States.
USDTV offers twelve cable channels plus local digital broadcasts as well, with packages starting at $20 a month. Your basic cable channels are there,
such as Disney, ESPN, Discovery and more. Looks like a great alternative to cable or satellite if you can receive an OTA digital signal, but I'm wondering if some of the cash infusion is to install repeater-type antennas to extend the signal range.
