Apple buying up office space - red staplers to follow?

Cupertino city records reveal that, since 2004, Apple has either paid business license fees or submitted a license application for over 2 million sq ft – which includes their campus of 850,000 sq ft. What's strange: some of these 'new' buildings Apple's eating up are the very ones Apple moved out of in the 90's.

What's more, Apple's employee roster grew in 2004 by 23% to almost 13,500 people. Anyone else need other signs of good times for our favorite fruity company?
