CEATEC J05: Toshiba shows off HD-DVD player

They're not just for laptops
anymore, Toshiba will be showing off a standalone HD-DVD player playing real HD-DVD's (hooked up to one of their new Z1000 TV's we mentioned earlier) tomorrow. Should give some added punch to the HD-DVD promotion group's statement that "HD DVD is REAL!"

But if it's real, why won't it be on this side of the Pacific before Christmas?
